QXposure made history in Peel Region by holding the first Queer and Trans community consultation at the Burnamthorpe Library Theatre on October 18th, 2007. Coordinated by the East Mississauga Community Health Centre, in partnership with the Peel HIV/AIDS Network, the event brought together over 45 community members, service providers, front-line workers, and community members from all over Peel Region and the GTA.
Q-Xposure’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of Queer communities in Mississauga through a social determinants of health perspective, guided by an anti-racist and anti-oppressive framework which recognizes the specific needs of racialized Queer communities.
