QX is a set of support services for lesbian, gay, bisexual,transgender, transsexual, intersex, queer, questioning and 2 spirit (LGBTTIQQ2S) adults in Peel Region.
The first ever PRIDE March in Mississauga will take place on July 19th, 2008!Please stay tuned for more details on meeting point, route, and post-march activities. The march will take place in East Mississauga and will be celebrated with food, entertainment and fun at the East Mississauga Community Health Centre, located at 2555 Dixie Road, Unit 7. QXposure is coordinating the PRIDE March in Mississauga with the help of many other individuals, and organizations in Peel who support building healthy and well LGBTQ communities. This event also compliments the great annual event by the Pride Committee of Peel, held in Brampton. Please be sure to check out their fun annual picnic on the 20th of July. Let's celebrate the dynamic, vibrant and diverse Queer and Trans communities in our Peel neighbourhoods!

QX services include: - weekly social/support group - one on one support sessions - PFLAG monthly support meetings - queer and trans primary health care, including hormone therapy - advocacy - referrals to queer and trans positive services including counselling - resource support to families and social service agencies

QX Group and PFLAG Meetings
QX Weekly Meetings Thursdays from 6-8pm, East Mississauga Community Centre. Support and social group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* spectrum, intersex, queer, questioning and 2 spirit folks 18+. The group provides opportunities for peer support, social networking, discussion and access to resources and referrals. Recognizing that LGBTTIQQ2S spectrum folks face systemic oppression on the basis sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, class, ability, body size, immigration status, country of origin, culture, age and religion, QX is committed to creating an environment that celebrates our complexities. We are constantly learning and working on ways to challenge these and other forms of oppression. East Mississauga CHC is a wheelchair accessible and scent-free space with all gender washrooms. Refreshments and bus tickets provided at groups.
